This is the first song I release under the artist name Evran. The song arrived after I returned from a holiday in Spain where I brought with me a bad cold in the luggage. I had missed my piano on the holiday, so when I got a chance to play for I few hours I took it.
The song just came pouring out of me and the piano, and after a few minutes it was there, melody, lyrics and all. It was one of those magical moments where everything just flows. I quickly recorded the instruments, but I was unsure if I should record the vocal since my voice was suffering under the cold, and was not preforming at its peak.
But in fear of loosing the MOJO in the studio I recorded all the vocal tracks with my cold infected voice and stuffy nose. In retrospect I feel it adds a certain character to the vocal sound and the song as a whole. (kind of like a older hungover me sharing some old man wisdom that does not make sense utill you are 54)
The lyrics to this song just appeared as I was writing the vocal melody, I don't know the meaning behind them yet, but it will probably reveal itself to me. The subconscious is a strange thing. If you find a/your meaning in it please tell me. I love to hear the different perspectives from people.
